SEO Manager (12 month FTC)

SEO is a key part of what we do for our clients, and we’re looking for an SEO Manager to take ownership of key client accounts for a 12 month full-time contract, beginning in February 2025. 

As an SEO all-rounder, you will be managing our SEO services for clients from beginning to end, as well as supporting on wider projects across the agency, such as website migrations and new business opportunities.

We are a marketing and technology agency based in Bristol, with over 20 years’ experience working with brands like Feefo, St Austell Brewery, Parmenion, South West Water and Dyneema. We’re a hybrid workplace, like the rest of our team, this role will be based in our central Bristol office for at least seven days per month, as this creates the kind of working relationships that allow us to do our best work. 

 

The role

We’re looking for an SEO practitioner to deliver quality SEO strategies for our retained clients. From creating the SEO roadmap, to getting hands on with managing and implementing optimisations, to reporting on organic performance. 

You’ll work closely with other departments, such as Client Services and Marketing and Strategy, making sure that SEO strategies fit our client’s wider goals.

Our current SEO clients are based across a range of industries, including the financial sector and B2B. Experience in these sectors isn’t required, but you’ll need to be able to manage working on clients across different sectors, making strategic decisions across a range of search landscapes.

Other responsibilities for this role include supporting on website builds. We’re looking for someone who can manage these projects from an SEO perspective to ensure that organic performance is prioritised, and any potential negative impact minimised.

As the lead for our SEO services, you’ll have a passion for all things SEO, but also the wider digital world. You’ll need to keep the agency, and clients, up-to-date on the ever-changing world of SEO.

 

Key responsibilities and skills

  • Develop and execute SEO strategies aligned to our client’s objectives for both UK and US-based clients. 

  • Proven experience across all aspects of SEO, including keyword research and prioritisation, content creation, on-page SEO, off-page SEO and technical SEO.

  • Audit website health across all areas that impact crawlability and indexability, such as site speed health, XML sitemap and robots.txt files, redirects and hreflang, and communicate fixes clearly to internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Expertise in producing engaging content strategies that improve search performance, and creating clear briefs for content writers.

  • Experience in off-page SEO, including backlink outreach and acquisition. 

  • Create and present insightful monthly organic reports, highlighting performance against key metrics and analysing data to proactively identify opportunities. 

  • Collaborate closely with Client Services and Project Management to ensure that projects meet timelines and budgets.

  • Communicate transparently and clearly with clients to maintain positive relationships.

  • Deliver SEO audits to support with new business opportunities.

  • Work on website migrations involving content audits, reviewing staging sites for technical issues, preparing migration plans and checklists followed by post-migration monitoring.

  • Use tools such as SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console and GA4.
